i was wondering what are the advantages/disadvantages of marrying someone your age?

PS; would it be wrong of me to refuse a marriage purposal of a good MUSLIM brother becuase he is almost the same age as me?

NO I WUD LOVE TO BUT PPL KEEP TELLING ME THE MARRIAGE WON'T LAST LONG IF WE ARE BOTH SAME AGE. MORE FIGHTS, ARGUEMENTS, AND DISAGREEMENTS WILL BE NORMALITY THEY SAID..LOL.

In my opinion you should go with what you feel is best, weigh your own pros and cons.  Nobody knows the answer to your question better than you.  Inshallah everything will work out favorably.

there is nothing wrong with that, as long as he is mature, responsible...and plus u guys can behave like littler kids once in while too.

not too old, coz he wuld treat u like a a toddler

Assalam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters, The 2 best examples were the differences in age with the Prophet Muhammad and Aiysha and him and Khadijah. All the replies I have read about older brothers have been negative. It's not the age that counts it's his maturity in this DEEN that counts. Most older brothers are stronger in their Deen than younger brothers. Sisters look at the great examples I gave earlier. You want someone that is focused in their DEEN and that can get you to Jinnah. That's the bottom line. If brothers are required to put piety over beauty then you can choose a older brother than a younger brother. Younger doesn't mean better. Don't be so superficial sisters focus on the AKHIRAH and not this DUNYA. This is coming from a older brother that knows what he wants and that's something many young brothers don't know.

Yes, i want to know as much as she does. im often attracted NOT to somebody around my age, worst..much younger than my age.. often i think high school students are attractive too. last guy im close with was 7 years younger than me, before it became serious i chose to move away.
